The desert rose is a naturally occurring selenite gypsum. It is most frequently the combination of Barite and Selenite. It forms though a particular process of moisture condensation. Furthermore, the selenite tends to cluster together and produces a mass. This particular mass will then be subjected to the elements that surround it, just like sand and wind erosion. And the end result of this is the desert rose.
